Why Protect Your Natural Stone Countertops?

Our anti-etching solution will stop etching and staining caused by acidic foods and liquids. This innovative solution forms durable, ultra-low visibility, super-thin, coating that prevents the toughest stains and caustic solutions from coming in contact with your marble countertop surface.

Care and Maintenance

Marble is a metamorphic rock consisting mostly of calcite and dolomite. It is formed by the metamorphism of limestone over time and temperature changes. When most people think of marble, they imagine a hard stone that is white with grey markings. In reality, it is one of the softer stones and can also have irregularly coloured marks due to the presence of impurities such as silica and clay.

Do’s

  • Use a neutral floor cleaning product
  • Put plastic trays under potted plants
  • Put plastic or felt coasters beneath wood and metal furniture feet
  • Clean dust on natural floor tile regularly
  • Use door mats on marble floors

Dont’s

  • Use Acidic or high alkaline cleaning products
  • Use scouring powders & abrasives, they can scratch the natural stone
  • Use coatings such as waxes on natural stone floors
  • Use rubber and fibre pads, they can scratch natural stone floors

We specialise in water conservation and treatment, like high pressure/low water washing, water recycling and rainwater harvesting and treating. We use the safest products and dispose of all waste responsibly.

How often should I clean my natural stone surfaces?

You should be professionally cleaning your natural stone surfaces every six months. Areas of the home where marble features like countertops, kitchen floors and bathrooms tend to be the most used.

Is anti-etching worth it?

While cosmetically, we want our natural stone surfaces to look their best at all times, for health & sanitary reasons alone it’s worth getting your surfaces professionally cleaned & restored often.

How do I choose a anti-etch specialist?
